Mid January 2005 about 6" of snow fell. Then January 21st another 6" of snow fell. I remember this date as my rescue Sadie whelped out 13 puppies on January 22nd and I had to make sure the driveway was plowed in case of an emergancy! The ironic part. January 20th 2006 dumped about 8-10" of very wet and heavy snow on us. We had above record temps for the past 20 days, a few days hit over 50. No snow. So.. here is what I love about SNOW! This is out the front door.

This is off the back patio. Tree group 1 and 2 had major problems w/ the snow. I had to go knock the snow off the branches as they were touching the ground and should have been 4 1/2' above ground! I have a thing for my Austrian Pines... I do not want a silly snow fall to break their branches! Group 1 is to the right and group 2 is to the left behind the 'apple' tree. Yes.. that is my wood fence in the far! |
